Hope you are all good!
With the school holidays in full flow, its been so hard to grab time to
myself....When my girl is at home I often feel a little pang of guilt hiding away in my shed
but yesterday I managed to pick up a treat which solved that problem.....
I picked up a new desk for my Kitchen.... Its not new, new but
new to me..... its an old shabby style of desk....perfect!
This of course only means only means one thing...
the possibility of more burnt offerings while I distract myself with ink!
So after setting up my desk and moving half my shed indoors I
set about cracking open the new Dylusions!!
Have you seen them??
If you have not seen the New Dylusions ink pad go check out my earlier post here for all the info.
Today I really wanted to try out the new stamps..........especially the Pin up Queen
(She is soooo gorgeous!)
Here's what I did!
I used a Ranger #12 Manila tag and applied gesso through a Dylusions stencil
I then sprayed Lemon zest and cherry pie, when dry
I stitched around the tag
I flicked white distress paints over the tag
I then stamped out the Pin up queen onto some Manila card stock and painted her using
Tim Holtz Distress inks
(picked Raspberry and Mowed lawn)
The other images were coloured using lots of Distress Markers
For the Queens hair I used the leaf stamp along with a bow from the couture stamp set
I added wings and stamped using Archival ink
Had so much fun putting the tag together and I didn't burn anything!!
( but I'm cheating....its take out for dinner!)
If you want to check out the new Dylusions they are available here at Art from the Heart

I'm also really excited to be teaching there in September
Right I best go clear up my mess......
Have a really fabulous weekend!
